"The goal of spiritual practice is full recovery, and the only thing you need to recover from is a fractured sense of self."
Marianne Williamson
Inspired by fractals, nature's sacred mathematical patterns, this collection highlights the intelligence and infinite complexity of life and is in keeping with the hypernatural trend forecasted for spring 2014. A focus on recursion is emphasized through fabric manipulations.

Spring 2012
This project was inspired by an encounter with God in a silent meditation.
I felt the pressure of myself expanding beyond my body.
I felt like a giant.
I began to consume everything.
I began to feel infinity, and it felt familiar.

Silk organza and crepe
Spring 2015
This skirt is inspired by my time at Madewell and the striking colors and graphic prints of their spring collection. I dyed, cut, and layered the fabric by hand to create a pattern with my own aesthetic, working with the colors of the spiritual body.

This dress is based on the cherry blossom and its contrasting symbolism of delicacy and power. It represents feminine, fleeting beauty and the ephemerality of life, both a celebration and reminder to exist in the moment.
